In Pursuit of the Bray Road Beast: Hunt for the Truth

If you happen to be visiting Walworth County, Wisconsin and your car stalls on some lonely stretch of highway, particularly near the intersection of Bray Road and Highway 11, make sure you lock your doors and roll up the windows. But prepare yourself. You just may get your first glimpse of the large, hairy creature known as the Bray Road Beast. Unlike Bigfoot, this creature who walks upright and sports a long set of claws on each hand is not the shy type. It has been known to seek entry into human dwellings. So, if you hear the sound of your car handle rattling, you'd better think twice before opening it. The face you see pressed to the glass may frighten you with it's canine features and very humanlike eyes that stare straight through you as if they know what you're thinking.

By the way, this is not a scene from a Stephen King novel. According to residents of Walworth County, the Bray Road Beast is as real as the intense fear created in those who have sighted the creature. On Friday, 25 February 2005, at 5:30 p.m. eastern time, journalist and author, Linda S. Godfrey--a renowned researcher of the beast--will answer questions and share true accounts of this fearsome creature. You're invited to join us in the Thunder and Roses Jeans & Champagne Lounge to learn more about the infamous Bray Road Beast, Wisconsin's modern-day werewolf.
