Since most of my friends who are my age are not into horror flicks, I often drag my preteen niece to the theatre when I want to see something scary. We both agree that "Cloverfield" was and still is "awesome!" Poducer J.J. Abrams and director Matt Reeves have brought to life this fresh, outside-the-box hit. It's a fun nonstop thrill ride.

I wasn't sure how I would receive the camcorder effect in the film. However, it was that very style in the trailer that caught my attention. It makes the story more real and less staged, allowing the illusion that, "This is really happening!" J.J. Abrahams is perhaps the Orson Welles of this fresh, new generation of creative minds.

I was impressed by the movie, purchased the DVD, and can't wait for the sequel...and I'm not even a big fan of sequels!
