Chev Chelios, a professional hitman, has a problem. After his last hit, he has been given a synthetic drug that stops his adrenaline. Basically, if he stops moving he dies. He should have been dead within the first hour after the injection. Instead he cheats death for a while by keeping up his adrenaline.

The ways he does it are funny, disgusting, chilling, exciting, frightening and, at one point, sexy. This movie is its own adrenaline rush to viewers. Moviegoers have no choice but to root for this anti-hero and his hapless girlfriend.
