"The Crow"
by Tikki Benit Dai

Dark and lovely. Ninety-three minutes of cinematic art.

This film is deliciously classic with generous helpings of noir plus all the right ingredients--love, revenge, chivalry, and an ass-kicking soundtrack.

The Crow is nothing short of a masterpiece. The hero, Eric Draven, shares the grandeur of those from Sin City, made larger-than-life via their very human flaws. And might I add that Brandon Lee portrays one of the sexiest zombies in film. His portrayal of the protagonist is powerful; his haunting expressions translate well even through make-up.

I love everything about this flick. Even the antagonist, played by Michael Wincott, turns evil into art.

Although there have been a number of sequels to this film, The Crow begins and ends with Brandon Lee.
