Who knew that the end of the 19th century would have produced a "Master of Suspense" whose career still haunts us in the 21st century? Thanks to William and Emma Hitchcock of 517 High Road, Leytonstone, in the east of London, who, on 13th August 1899, gave us the gift we have come to love as Sir Alfred Joseph Hitchcock. Hitch has left us over six decades of screams, chills, and endless moments of heart-racing suspense. Hitchcock, known for his practical jokes, once suggested that on his tombstone be placed the epitaph, "This is what we do to bad little boys." The filmmaker died on 29 April 1980 in Los Angeles, CA. Long live his legacy!
